This stretch hood film can be applied with BEUMER STRETCH HOOD A machine.

Stretch hood / stretch hood film / 1050*M350*0 12mm cold stretch hood film

The stretch hood, also known as a stretch hood film or cold stretch hood film. It is a packaging method that utilizes a tube-shaped elastic plastic film heat-sealed at the top, stretched horizontally and transversely at room temperature, vertically covering the top of the package and releasing the elasticity at the bottom of the pallet to make it tightly wrap the product. It is a new type of packaging technology that can replace heat shrinkable film and stretch film.

In terms of application areas, currently,

  • 25% of the stretch hood film is used for protection and display (such as food, beverage, and electrical appliances, etc.). This application field requires high transparency, low extrusion force, high strength, and other properties.
  • 35% of the stretch hood film is used for heavy packaging pallets, which requires a certain clamping force and pallet stability, and has certain physical properties.
  • 40% of the stretch hood film is used as a dustproof and rainproof cover for brick building materials. This field requires high puncture resistance and tear resistance. Cold shrink film has penetrated the construction and heavy-duty packaging bags the most in Europe and the United States, and the main growth is expected in the food, beverage, and white goods sectors.

Features of the cold stretch hood film:

  1. High loading stability
  2. The elasticity of the film can package products of various specifications
  3. No heating required
  4. The film will not stick to the packaged items
  5. Noise can be minimized
  6. The film is easier to recycle and dispose
  7. Excellent display performance
  8. Can print logo and text on the film
  9. No ignition risk
  10. Reduced a lot of security risks
  11. High output
  12. Low cost per pallet

What is the difference between stretch hood and other packaging?

  • Compared with cartons: the cost of cartons continues to rise. The cost of stretch hood is only 30% of carton cost. Stretch hood film packaging is waterproof, moisture-proof and transparent, and can realize fully automated packaging while cartons can not.
  • Compared with the heat-shrinkable film: the cold stretch hood film does not require heating. The film will not stick to the packaged items. No risk of ignition. The stretch hood can reduce a lot of security risks. Reduce energy costs.
  • Compared with stretch film: stretch film cannot be waterproof, dustproof, or transparent enough for scanning the code, while cold stretch hood film can. Stretch film is with poor clamping force and poor tilt stability, while the cold stretch hood film is not.

Aluminum profile protective film

The aluminum profile protective film is a layer of plastic film attached to the aluminum profile. The purpose is to protect the produced aluminum profile from damage during transportation, inventory, transportation, processing, installation, and other processes. After completing the aluminum profile installation, the installation engineering team peels off the protective film, so that the surface of the aluminum profile is as clean as new, and it has the desired decorative effect.

Protective Film For 8K Mirror Finished Stainless Steel

Protective Film for 8K Mirror Finished Stainless Steel

What is the 8K mirror finished stainless steel?

8K mirror finished stainless steel is also known as the mirror-polished stainless steel and mirror steel. Use the polishing liquid to polish on the surface of the stainless steel plate through polishing equipment, so that the surface brightness is as clear as a mirror.

Scope of use is star hotels, shopping malls, wealthy clubs, colorful bars, luxury KTV, luxury decoration such as clothing display cabinets, etc. People mainly use protective films for decorations, such as hall wall panels, ceilings, elevator car panels, car panels, architectural decoration, signboards, and other decorative purposes.

An anti-scratch protective film protects the 8K mirror finished stainless steel before transportation and use.

Requirements for the adhesives of the protective film are as follow:

Main problems and reasons for the most protective film products in the market:

1. The PE protective film is not firmly attached to the product to be protected, and it may fall off during transportation and use.

The main possibilities for this problem 1 are:
  • The pressure of the laminator during film laminating is low.
  • The surface of the substrate is not clean. For example, there is dust or paint, etc., which affects the adhesion of the pressure-sensitive adhesive.
  • The adhesion of the pressure-sensitive adhesive used in the production of the protective film is too low.

2. It is difficult to peel off the protective film. After installing the protected products, workers can not peel the protective film off effectively.

3. When protective film is peeled off, the adhesive layer remains on the substrate or "ghosting" appears on the substrate’s surface.

  • There are many possibilities for this problem. Mainly because the pressure-sensitive adhesive used for the protective film does not comply with the regulations, which causes the external tension of the film to be greater than the internal stress when it is peeled off, and glue remains on the substrate.
  • The small molecules in the pressure sensitive adhesive migrate to the surface of the adhesive layer to form a “ghost”.

Solutions:

1. Surface Tension

MaterialDyne
Mercury470
Water72.7
Ethanol22.3
N-butanol24.6
50% Aqueous ethanol31.8
30% Aqueous ethanol37.8
Ethyl acetate26.3
Toluene28.2
Butanone26.7
In order for the glue to adhere well to the surface of the substrate, the dyne value of the substrate should be 10 dyne higher than the dyne value of all glues.

The protective film of 8K mirror panel is generally PE film, so the Dyne value of the water-based pressure sensitive adhesive used for 8K mirror panel should be in the range of 23-28.

2. Selection of emulsifier

Anionic and nonionic emulsifiers with strong emulsifying ability are used together to obtain a water-based pressure-sensitive adhesive with relatively high wettability, and no gel is produced.

3. Monomer selection

A small amount of special monomer is added to adjust the ratio of various monomers to make it low viscosity, low peeling force and high holding viscosity.
